International trade support through Export Accelerator
Explore and enter new overseas markets with the help of the Export Accelerator project including specialist support and grants. Available to businesses in Derby and Derbyshire.
Export Accelerator can support you in navigating the complexities of international trade, whether you’re interested in undertaking some initial research or you have ambitions to launch a product or service to a new overseas market.
Support includes:
- Advice from experienced International Trade Advisers
- Export Training: up to £2,000 available for specialist export courses
- Access to finance: grant funding to support export growth, job creation and market entry
- East Midlands International Trade Network: an opportunity to collaborate, share ideas and challenges with your peers.

If your business can demonstrate 20% annual growth in revenue, employment, or market share over the past three consecutive years, the High Growth Accelerator project can offer you tailored academic and business support to innovate, scale, and grow sustainably.
Support includes:
- Expert Business Advice: to develop a bespoke growth roadmap
- High Growth Academy: an exciting programme of workshops, forums and events for scaling businesses in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, University of Derby and University of Nottingham.
- Access to Finance:
- Innovation Vouchers up to £5,000: access specialist support from university technical innovation centres
- Student and graduate hire talent grant of £2,000 to support the salary cost of this role.
- Growth grants - typical projects include market expansion, product development, compliance and sustainability.
